The Bikes come out at Night!

A few shots from the Marzocchi Predator Night Race.
The race had a really good turn-out and a more laid back / fun vibe.
Even though shooting at night can be extremely difficult and frustrating, It was
a good challenge and creates some interesting results.
Hopefully they will have more of these in the future.

(Hanging out with) Suspended Productions

A few months ago,  Suspended photographer, Cade VanHeel, invited me and Zak (Rustigian) to come hang out and shoot some photos at their stomping grounds known as Ted Williams down in SD. Here are a few photos from our day.

Canon 100-400mm @ Doheny

A new addition to my camera bag: The Canon 100-400mm 4.5-5.6L lens.
Here are a few sample shots taken down at Doheny Beach in Dana Point, Ca.
I am really excited to put this to use at the Red Bull Rampage in October!

You got to love those Summer crowds!

HOLGA X CANON

A few months ago I was biking (surfing) the web when I came across this lens from Holga. It's a super cheap plastic lens that can be used with your DSLR camera. It's a constant f.8 with no focusing except for a few symbols on the side. You need ALOT of light to get this thing to work and cranking up the ISO is usually a must.
It's a fun lens to shoot with and it only cost $25!

If you have a crop sensor camera, it should be about 96mm.

I try and use it for at least a few shots when I'm out shooting a race or friends.

It's really interesting how this lens handles light and can give some unexpected results.

"Yo, man! take my picture with that sick lens!" - Brian Lopes

Not so great composition, but interesting effect.
